National Poetry Month 2020 Day 23: “Devotion” & “Want”

Today’s poems are about love and devotion. What does it mean to be steadfast?

Devotion
By Robert Frost

The heart can think of no devotion
Greater than being shore to the ocean—
Holding the curve of one position,
Counting an endless repetition.

Want
By Blythe Stephens

I want you
I want you
I want so much more of you

I think I’ve met my match
Hope you feel the same way too

I am floored
We soar
You rock me deep in my core

Come what may I am yours
And you’ll always be adored
