Haiku 2021 Part 21, #143-9

-

 #143 (inspired by Big Friendship)

Friendship's not easy
life happens, we fall out of
touch, divide opens

#144

Waiting for German
class, Zoom dialog open
ready, baited breath

#145

Stormy divorces
like a shipwreck, crashing on
reef, washing on shore

#146

How do you make God
laugh? That's easy: make some plans,
see what happens then

#147

It's all already
there, in your very center
self: complete, pure, true

#148

Kernel of my soul
keyhole to the universe
opening to all

#149

Be my companion
navigating adventure
strong warm red jasper

Today’s National Poetry Month blog is brought to you by the will to keep going, to hang in there through the challenges and obstacles and opposition that life inevitably brings. Wishing you strength and persistence and ultimate triumph! Other Galaxies By David D. Horowitz Admire twilight’s salmon-ruby mist, Stars’ silver scatter, turquoise-gray dawn; Recall at noon other galaxies exist As human pettiness smirks and smatters And self-importance boasts and chatters. Balletlicious with Blythe Ankle ABCs DISCLAIMER: Although the exercises I recommend are suitable for dancers at a beginning through advanced level, and I do my best to keep things moderate and safe, please consult your healthcare practitioner before beginning any health or fitness regimen! The reason why I am creating this video series is that I am often asked “what can I do in-between classes to strengthen and stretch my body for ballet?” I also frequently hear that people have waited to start a class until they felt somehow fit enough to present themselves, as if they need to prepare for the class itself. With my classes, this is not the case as I provide appropriate accommodation for different levels of experience and physical states, but I understand the feeling. It makes me sad that sometimes people wait years or never start because they don’t feel ready. Also, it can be tough to feel “fit enough” even when we do attend a weekly course, especially if we must occasion...

What does it mean to be steadfast?   Devotion By Robert Frost The heart can think of no devotion Greater than being shore to the ocean— Holding the curve of one position, Counting an endless repetition. Want By Blythe Stephens I want you I want you I want so much more of you I think I’ve met my match Hope you feel the same way too I am floored We soar  You rock me deep in my core Come what may I am yours And you’ll always be adored
